Beware of Traps Domestic Violence Offenders Set—Use Forensic Therapy

Are you prepared to avoid the Games Offenders Play in treatment? Now, you can take advantage of your Forensic Therapy course that starts next Monday, February 28, March 2, 7, 9, 2011 —  1:00 P.M. Eastern;  11:00 A.M. Mountain Time. The importance of this course addresses the differences between providing traditional therapy and treatment of criminal offenders.  General clinical training to work with client groups fails to take into account the Games Offenders Play in treatment. This course covers the particular characteristics and dynamics of Domestic Violence offenders with effective intervention techniques used in treatment toward reduction of recidivism and maintaining victim safety.

Be careful to stay out of the trap offenders set for unwitting counselors. As one former trainee noted after taking this course “it definitely helped me stay out of the traps I was falling into even with non-identified offenders”. She emphasized the importance of immediate implementation of the skills learned in her treatment groups.
